How many students do you accept? There are usually around 20-25 students on the course

Is it a one year course? Our course runs from September to June, but many students train with us for more than one year before auditioning for drama school to maximise their technique and knowledge.

What is the balance of singing, dance and acting? We split the tuition equally between these disciplines - which is essential for 'triple threat' musical theatre performers.

Does it matter if I have little dance experience? No. The dance training is split into levels - to accommodate both experienced dancers and those with little prior training.

What hours do you operate? Generally between 5:30-8:30pm (Mondays) and 5:30-9pm (Thursdays), although 1-1 singing lessons can be scheduled outside of these times if convenient.

Do you get a certificate or exam? We offer to enter our students in for Trinity Musical Theatre exams or the ATCL Diploma for those students that wish to do exams. It's worth noting that performance exams will not necessarily help you get into drama school....excellent training, determination and hard work are far more important!

Do I need to go to BAMT? Of course! If you want expert training from the best creative team in the South West - who are all professional performers with a wealth of experience working at drama schools. We have an excellent success rate for helping students get into top drama schools, arrange regular masterclasses and have a 100% pass rate at musical theatre exams (Grade 6-8 and Diploma).
