Principals
Tim King - Musical Director
Tim graduated with a BA Hons in Music from Oxford Brookes University and gained his Post-Graduate degree at Bath Spa University. He is an experienced musical director, choral conductor and performer, with the ability to cross between classical, gospel, musical theatre and other popular styles. He is choral director of Vocal Works Gospel Choir - with whom he tours regularly and has recorded several albums. He has performed and recorded with bands/artists including Take That, Lulu, Peter Gabriel, Brian May, The Heavy, Reef, Susan Boyle and Kerry Ellis, and worked on masterclasses with Hadley Fraser, Oliver Thompsett, Kerry Ellis, Rosie Ashe, Julie Atherton, Rosalie Craig and Mary Hammond.
Tim's theatre credits include the national tour of The Brownings (with Anton Rogers), Into The Woods, Seussical and Hot Mikado (The Tobacco Factory), A Little Night Music, The Witches of Eastwick and Hair (Academy Theatre), Starting Here Starting Now (Wickham Theatre), and has accompanied West End actors including Sarah Lane, Neil Ditt, Chris Killik, Helen Colby and Adam Hepkin. Teaching credits include Bristol Academy of Performing Arts, TK Theatre School and City of Bath College.
Rob Hickmore - Head of Singing
Rob studied voice and performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. After graduating in 1998 he performed on the national tour of Some Enchanted Evening and at a variety of corporate events. He trained under Richard Alda, a master technician of Bel Canto. As well as this classical foundation he also studied the modern and scientific Estill model which is used in musical theatre and pop.
Rob teaches singing on the Musical Theatre Degree course at the Arts Educational School London and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where he works with many students that go on to perform in the West End and on Broadway.
Tutors
Dan Winter - Head of Acting
Dan trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He has taught and led workshops in drama schools and universities - specialising in Shakespeare, voice, presentation skills and stage combat. The bulk of his work as an actor has been classical theatre with companies such as the National Theatre, Bristol Old Vic, and Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory. Recent stage work includes Comedy of Errors, Henry V, Uncle Vanya, Julius Caesar, Anthony & Cleopatra, and A Doll's House. In addition to stage work Dan has worked in television, radio and various short film projects.
Fae McIntyre - Dance
Fae trained at Sir Paul McCartney's Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and Liverpool Theatre School as a scholarship student - graduating in 2008. She has taken part in professional shows and productions on Channel 4, BBC, Sky and for Vertigo Films - as well as performing at stadiums and theatres around the country.
Fae has taught dance and drama across the South West - including choreographing many major productions at The Bristol Hippodrome. She is a visiting tutor at higher education institutions and has enjoyed watching her students go on to perform professionally and gaining places at the top theatre schools around the country.
